Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi arrival – Night train to Lao Cai (D)
 
Our guide will meet you at Noi Bai airport and escort you to a sub-hotel in the center of Hanoi for freshen up.
Enjoy dinner before taking night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.
 
Day 2:  Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat & Ta Phin Village (B)
 
Arrive at Lao Cai Train station at about 6.30, welcome by our local guide and take a ride to Sapa. Have breakfast and relax before exploring Sapa Town. In the afternoon, take a 2km trek to Cat Cat Village, home of H'mong Ethnics. Meet & talk with locals to learn more about their daily life. Then continue the ride to Ta phin village (12km from Sapa) home to the Red Dzao minority. Visit Ta Phin Cave, Ta Phin handicraft shops and explore the daily life of Red Dzao. Here you have good choice to buy woven and textile brocades, which are hand made by ethnic people. Visit a small hamlet of Black H'mong people here too.

Overnight in Sapa.
 
Day 3:  Sapa – Hill tribe villages – night train to Hanoi (B/L/D)
 
In the morning, take a drive to visit Lao Chai village – home of Black H’Mong – here you will trek through terraced rice fields to villages, meet and talk with locals to learn more about their daily life and habits. Then trek through Ta Van village – home of Dzay hill tribe and get on car back to Sapa. A short shopping in town before moving to Lao Cai station. Have dinner at local restaurant before getting on AC 4 berth soft sleeper train.
 
Day 4:  Hanoi - Ninh Binh (Tam Coc) (B/L)
 
Arrive in Hanoi very early in the morning, pick up at train station and transfer to the city for breakfast and start to explore Hanoi city with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Residence, One-Pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda, Quan Thanh temple, Army Museum and Hanoi Flag Tower. Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, depart Hanoi for Ninh Binh. On the way, visit Hoa Lu - ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10 century and the remaining two temples of Dinh King & Le King. Continue driving to Tam Coc. Overnight at Tam Coc.
 
Day 5: Ninh Binh - Nam Dinh - Ha Long bay (B/L)
 
After breakfast we take an early sampan rowing along winding streams deep in rice fields and limestone rocks to visit Tam Coc caves. Return to the boat quay after 2 hour visit.
After that we proceed toward Halong via Nam Dinh and Hai Phong, lunch on the way. On the way, the car will stop for the short visit to Tran temple and Pho Minh tower in Nam Dinh province. Get to Halong city in the late afternoon. Overnight in Halong bay.
 
Day 6: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (B/L)
 
After breakfast at hotel, you will embark on sailing boat for cruising around the islets, caves and grottos of Halong Bay. The boat will stop a while for you to take a short excursion visit Sung Sot ('The Cave of Surprise') grotto. Seafood lunch served on board before leaving Halong for Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi around 16:00, time at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
 
Day 7: NORTHERN VIETNAM TOUR: Hanoi - departure (B)
 
Breakfast at hotel and free time until transferring to airport for departure home. End of service.
